Training & WorkshopsThe Dispute Resolution Center offers Mediation training and workshops on conflict resolution, communication and mediation skills throughout the year. ![]() The DRC firmly believes that the skills that mediators learn are valuable skills that can be learned and utilized by everyone, independent of their interest in serving as certified mediators. To that end, the DRC offers short workshops to businesses, industries, groups and organizations. The topics, workshop length and scenarios are tailored to that specific audience. The cost for workshops generally is $125 per training hour for up to 20 people. Workshops minimum length is 2.5 hours. Contact the Dispute Resolution Center to plan a workshop for your group, organization, industry or business. Organizations benefit greatly when their staff have improved conflict resolution and listening skills. These employees can help reduce the impact of conflict in the workplace and create value for customers by more clearly understanding their needs and how to meet those needs. Training:
A 40 hour training offered once yearly. Cost is generally $450 for residents of Yakima and Kittitas Counties. Some partial scholarships are available. Call the Dispute Resolution Center to find out about the next mediation training being offered.
Is offered once yearly, usually in the winter. The training includes a Friday evening session and all day Saturday and Sunday sessions. Cost is generally $150 for Yakima and Kittitas County Residents.
