Executive Director
Mr. Fairbank has been with the DRC since 1998. He has worked in not-for-profit agency management since 1981 and has been a mediator since 1991.

Office Manager/Bilingual Intake Specialist
Mrs. Fernandez has been with the DRC since 1996. She has previous experience in both the mental health field and early childhood development. She also brings with her a great passion for family life.

Meredith Bruch
Coordinator of Mediators and Training
Ms. Bruch joined the DRC staff in 2006. She has been an attorney practicing in the area of Indian law for 10 years and became a mediator in 2006. She hails from Ohio though has been in the NW and Yakima since 1995.

Kittitas County Victim Offender Meeting Coordinator & Outreach Worker
Evelyn Heflen has been with the DRC since 2004. She coordinates the DRC’s outreach work in Kittitas County, helping to inform the community and referring agencies about the DRC’s work and how to refer people to it and brings youthful offenders together to meet with the people victimized by their crimes.

Coordinator of Mediation Services for Seniors
Mr. Murphree joined the DRC staff in 2006. He has been a minister for over 30 years and grant writer/fund development officer since 2001. For relaxation, Lowell serves as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Yakima County Victim Offender Meeting Coordinator
Maria has been with the DRC since 2008. She previously has worked as a victim advocate and domestic violence victim advocate. She has lived in the Yakima Valley since 2006. Maria will help youthful offenders understand the impact of their actions by bringing them together with the people affected by their crimes so they can answer questions and make amends.

Mary has been with the DRC since 2008. Mary initially took mediation training in 1996 after having provided office support as a volunteer. Since then she has managed a parent serving agency, worked as a program coordinator for a child welfare division of a nonprofit agency and currently is a real estate investor. She recently returned to Yakima from Hawaii to be near family.
